Day One Year 6

Kryptonite    

Anthony, Cameron, Danny and Cale

Today we were playing with Kryptonite. We were trying to pick the Kryptonite up with straws and put it in the bucket. We threw the Kryptonite at each other and tried to catch it.   Plus we had to throw the Kryptonite at the same time and then we had to stand up to the top of the stairs and throw the Kryptonite into the baskets..

The Kryptonite was made out of green paper . Scrunching it up and making different sized balls was a little challenging.

I liked playing games cos they are fun. (Danny)
I liked throwing and catching. (Cale)

What was challenging?

Catching was hard and challenged me.   (Anthony)
Catching was a little hard for me as the Kryptonite was flying everywhere.  (Cale)
Throwing it to get it in the basket was a challenge.  (Danny)
Throwing it into the basket was easy, the challenge was watching it coming for me.    I got the balls into the baskets 3 times in a row.  (Cameron)

What did you find out about yourself as a learner?

I learnt to be better. Scrunching Kryptonite, keep trying to use the straws. I succeeded in the end!   (Anthony)
I learnt to scrunch the balls tight enough to throw. (Danny)                                                      I actually learnt I was good at catching and throwing.   (Cameron)
I had to pick the Kryptonite up carefully with the straws and had to keep trying.  (Cale)

The Stunt Men have arrived!

What adventures will the Stunt Men have? 

Step One: Designing our Stunt Men ...

Cam:  It was actually pretty easy.  Putting the arms on was hard. I tried to make him a Battery who was a speedster. And I couldnt use the battery beacuse they had acid in them. I designed it on paper first. The stunt man I made was very diffierent to my plan! Because I didnt know the colours I would use.

Danny:  It was hard. The sharpies were really big and it was really hard to colour it in. I did a plan first but the stunt man didnt come out looking like the plan. The colour was different.  I was making a ninja. I dont know yet what a ninja will do! 

Cale: I am making a Samuri.  I has some armour on it and a helmet. It was really hard to draw the little bits on it.  I did a plan, I have only done the feet on my Samuri so far. It was hard because it is hard to draw on the wood with pencil. 

Anthony: He has a cape. He is a super hero. I made him up! He has got zapping powers. He will destroy villians with his zapping power. I draw a plan first. It was a little bit hard, the detail was hard.   Ive finished making him. I want to add the legs.
